We spent 2 weekends in a row in Crested Butte during the summer of 2013. In the first Doug and Kia participated in a coed soccer tournament. Jason and Lana got to mountain bike in between games. Here’s Jason on the famous 401 trail.
After the 1st weekend, Lana and Jason carpooled home while Jason, Kia and the kids headed to Telluride. Here’s Treyden enjoying his lookout at their campsite.
They took the scenic route over Ophir Pass back to Crested Butte.
Lana and Jason met everyone back in Crested Butte for the 4th of July weekend. This time joined by Jeanne, Mike, and Maggie, Rebecca, Adam, Nora and Addie. Here are the kiddos waiting to take the bus down to the parade.
The focus of this weekend was hanging out, swimming and mountain biking. Crested Butte is our favorite mountain biking destination in Colorado.
Can you tell why?
We got a babysitter for a day so that several of us could ride the famous 401 trail together. Here’s Jason, Kia, Rebacca, Adam, Doug, and Lana.
Nothing like fields of flowers all the way up to your handlebars!
After returning home from the trip, Treyden and Carleigh were happy to see their neighborhood pals Lydia and Amelia and simply hangout in the back yard cottonwood tree.
Nothing like climbing a tree in a dress with an attitude!
We took another weekend trip to camp in Buffalo Creek with our friends Colin and Whitney.
Carleigh enjoyed riding through mud puddles.
We had a great time climbing around on the rocks too.
Gunner and his rocks!
